New Saiyuki Anime July 2017

So very exciting!
Looks like they're starting with the Reload Blast arc. Kind of wishing they would have backtracked and picked up the Even a Worm arc, so we could see the Seiten Taisei and Hakkai fight, but maybe the'll give us that in a flashback?
Anyone else excited? Reservations? Hopes and dreams for what's to come?

I fear they're gonna fuck things up towards the end of the series yet again like they did with the first Saiyuki anime series and Reload Gunlock...even more so since I guess Minekura won't bring the journey to an end this time either.
But, I like the style they've drawn it in, it seems a little more detailed and stylized this time. I don't expect much story, but some nice pictures.
So in the end, I think I'll remain skeptical.

Aw, that's true. I forget about that when I get excited. It'd be too bad if they tried to wrap up an ending and got it all wrong, because, agreed, Reload Gunlock was a wreck. And there's always the concern of creating bad filler. But I'm an unfortunate optimist, so guess I'll take the good stuff while it's there, heh!

I was so excited when watching Saiyuki the first time too until I found out that the ending was so different and not really a good one, to my mind. I got wary then.
For sure there are going to be fillers, considering the way they animated the mangas till now - it's just whether they're going to be alright ones or total idiotic ones lol...are we allowed to talk about it that way at all if we consider ourselves fans? XD
Anyway, I hope for a new wave of merchandise coming along with it!

I just wish they'll find a way to include the CPR scene somewhere even if they have to mash to storylines to paste it.

Hell, I'm just glad I get the see the boys animated yet again. Withdrawals where very high.

I also believe they'll flashback the two final fights and maybe a slight flashback leak on the Youkai Desert arc. After all, it holds one of the most significant character growth for Goku, and that can't be left out I'd believe.

So I believe if they do it right, they'll have enough materials for the time being while Mine-san brings us further up eventually.

Heh...so...I gotta unlurk for this but... HELLS YES I AM SO DAMN READY!!!! I think the art looks pretty great, and I second a vote for the Even A Worm arc because that was a good one, but I'll take what I can get.
