Chapter Title: Father and Son
Author: sakamotomhira
Rating: PG-13 - R (language)
Pairing: None
Summary: Kurt Hummel gets more than he expected when his dad buys him a car for his Sweet 16. As if his life wasn't hard enough.
Warning: None
Disclaimer: I don't own Glee or Transformers. Sad, I know.
Word Count: 403 Original draft of this prompt was 298. *dances*
Notes: What's this? An update that didn't take me more than a month? It's a miracle! So, I hope you enjoy, forgive it's shortness, but there's not much actual material in the scenes to work with. Next chapter will be short, too, most likely. But chapter 6! That will be longer but it'll take longer to write because what I have planned doesn't fit in with the movie canon.

Masterlist Chapter 3 --
"Alright, Mercedes, I'll meet you at the mall in half an hour." Kurt flung himself backwards on his bed, clutching a pillow to his chest.
The diva spoke with a smile in her voice. "Great. I saw this amazing top there last week that I need your opinion on."
"Anything you pick out will be better than the entirety of Rachel Berry's wardrobe. Except that technicolor zebra top. Seriously, what were you thinking?"
Mercedes laughed, the sound slightly tinny through the speakers of the cell phone. "Hey, it wasn't as bad as any of Rachel's animal sweaters. I know better now. Oh, hang on a sec, I got an IM." Silence hung between them for a few seconds before she was back. "That was Tina. She wanted to know if she could come along."
Kurt grinned. "Shopping with my favorite diva and Gothic princess? How can I say no?"
"Alright, I just gotta tell her. She's on my way so I'll pick her up." A few more seconds of silence. "Alright, I'll see you soon, White Boy. Love you."
"Love you, too. Bye."
"Bye."
Kurt hung up and slipped the phone into his pocket. He walked over to his closet and grabbed a jacket, shrugging it on before climbing the stairs up from his basement bedroom.
"Hey, buddy, where're you off to?"
The brunette stepped in the living room where his father was seated on the couch, watching some sort of game on TV. Most likely football. Maybe baseball.
"The mall. I'm going shopping with Mercedes and Tina."
"Alright. Y'know, I like those girls. I'm glad you've made some good friend like them." Burt really was happy for his son. Joining the glee club had done him a world of good.
"Me to. It's nice to have people who appreciates my fashion genius," Kurt laughed. "I'll be back before curfew. Go easy on the junk food, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah," he waved off his son's converns. Burt Hummel was as healthy as an ox. "Need any money?"
"No, thanks. I've got it covered." With that, Kurt walked to the kitchen and grabbed his keys off the counter.
"Drive safe!" Burt called out.
"I will! But I've got a great mechanic if anything goes wrong."
"Thanks, buddy."
"I meant me, Dad."
"Yeah, and who taught you?" He heard laughter followed by the sound of the front door opening and closing. "Cheeky brat," Burt said affectionately.
