This is the world we live in... (whine)

It's been almost two years since I've graduated, and the thing I miss most about college was that it was the closest thing to a goddamn actual community that exists anymore. I have a number of good friends, but now they all live in places like New Zealand, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, and New Jersey. Hell, I have friends who live in Tacoma, ( Read more... )

It's been plaguing Ashley and I as well..... I guess I can see why my parents didn't really have friends, they had friendly couples they knew through church or because of us kids.... but nothing like, oh these are my friends from college.

That's a scary reality!

hey deary, I got your message last night! I'm sorry I haven't called back. I've been lame about phones recently. We should definitely work something out. I'd love to see you!

I've been a metro transit rider for about a month or so now, so hopefully we can find some place sort of central to meet? You still in Kent, right? It's been too long!

let me know!

I think even my educational community is isolating. BLeh.
I got your message, but I was in Chicago all weekend for a public interest law conference, so I am way behind on homework and sleep and struggling ot catch up. I will give you a call in a few days once I get my head screwed on straight.
Even if I'm not close by, I'm thinking of you!

*hugs* Don't forget, you came from this great pseudo-state, too. Never forget! *dramatic pose* Never forget! ...Strike that. Forget!

Miss you. It's enough to fly out into the world without having a community to land within. That does compound things rather gloomily. So if you ever need an antistrophe, you call. Wuv!

Bre ke ke kex, koax, koax! Strophe! Antistroph!

Miss you. Think I'll take you up on the calling thing soon. If I don't, hit me over the head with a verbal 2x4--just do it over the phone. ^_~

Speaking of high school, we got a batch of new students at mine. Funny thing is, there's this one girl who reminds me INTENSELY of Naya--Pokemon/Yu-gi-oh cards, hyper, hangs out with the only out lesbian in the school (it's a small school), begged me to teach her Japanese, even her face looks like Naya's. The creepy part is that her name is Jessica.

On the other hand, it's not like I'm going to forget *her* name.
