Have finally learned the hard way that the particular way I was holding the knife and the squash was, well, stupid. I have four stitches and a sausage-sized finger bandage to show for it. The nice doctor lady gave me the wrong dosage of pills.  Now I have 10 more micrograms of estrogen in me than usual, and it sucks.  I've been feeling vaguely nauseous all day and I wept for five minutes after bumping my head, because life just felt so unfair.
