The class I have been TAing for had its final today. The final was in the morning from 8-11 and we (the group of TAs and the lead professor) graded from when it ended to around 4. Yay food!
I think I have come to the conclusion that my favorite kinds of social events are those that revolve around food (picnics, dinner parties, etc) - particularly if I am at least partially in charge of the creation of the food. I think this is related to the fact that food has a tendency to make people happy and so when I am feeding people it makes ( Read more... ) -

Life is good.
Mudd's math department has a new award named for Emeritus Professor Alvin White. One of my friends and I were jointly awarded the inaugural prize. The description of the prize can be found near the bottom of this page. Essentially, it is the "friendly helpful math person" prize. For some reason this amuses me greatly.

Play-doh!
Last night I spent about half of tutoring helping students who were struggling with visualizing the regions they were supposed to be integrating over build models of those regions out of play-doh. :-) I <3 playing with play-doh.
