WHY THE FLIP AM I STILL NOT GETTING MY LJ NOTIFICATIONS IN ANY TOLERABLE MANNER?! I either get nothing at all and only find comments when I click entries randomly, or I get notifications from comments that were posted a week, two days, whatever ago. WHAT IS HAPPENING AND WHY HAS IT BEEN GOING ON FOR FOREVER?! Why is no one complaining about this? ( Read more... )

I've been bitching for months that I don't get notifications from a select group of friends. One from Germany, 2 from Canada, 1 Italy, 2 Australia. WTF? Every time LJ does it's 'fixes', something else goes wrong.

for two months? ugh. i've only been noticing this fuckery for two weeks now but i'm already running out of patience.

You're not the only one. I experienced these problems a week ago, too. Now I thought it's back to normal but I get ridiculously almost no comment notifications in my mail. Which really makes me all suspicious. I now set it up that I get EVERY notification into my LJ inbox, so far that seemed to work.

But it can't be a long time solution since I mostly DON'T check my LJ inbox because it really bothers me.

Until now I thought I was the only one experiencing these freaking problems because all of my flist say they don't have these problems.

Also, LJ keeps logging me out on a regular basis :D So much fun! /irony

yes! the random outlogging happens to me, too! grrr!

i also have my settings so my lj inbox doesn't get flooded additionally to my mailbox. ...maybe i should try fiddling around there, too. thanks for the tip!

Nope, same for me. I occasionally get a notification on time, but then I'll get one from several days ago. And it seems like some PMs may have actually gotten eaten and never received.

yep. that's how lj does it: tease you with a few notifications and as soon as you allow yourself to think it might actually be working again - SLAP! and me: WAAARRRGGGHHHHHH !
