Title: Bathroom Floors

Bathroom Floors

Michael got it from the boy who helps out in the shop sometimes, who got it from a classmate. Debbie got it from Michael and went and spread it via hugs and kisses to probably half of Liberty Avenue. And of course, to Justin.
Brian wrenches the freshly soaked towel and hands it to him.
“Thanks.”
Brian doesn’t say anything but sits back down on the bathroom floor, helping to press the towel into Justin’s neck.
Justin lets his head fall back against the wall and closes his eyes. “I didn’t know I could puke so much.”
“Now we know.”

Later, Justin reaches over and interlaces his fingers with Brian’s against his thigh. “Been a while since we sat here like this.”
“Yeah.” Brian remembers all too well. Only back then, it hadn’t been something he could puke out, sweat out. God knows he tried.
“Brian?”
Brian shakes his head clear. He turns and tries to smile, to chase the memories away, especially this close to the night.
Justin clasps his hand tighter and lets his head slide down slowly until it’s resting against Brian’s shoulder. “Love you.”
Brian lifts Justin’s hand to his mouth and kisses his damp palm.
