Sorry about that! I'm not sure why. I just re-did the image code, but I can't see any difference. Is it visible for you now?
I cross-posted it from DW, maybe that's the problem. I haven't been posting much, so maybe I've forgotten how!! Here's the link for the same post on DW (https://saki101.dreamwidth.org/48119.html).
In many ways, yes, although there is a very practical streak running through it as well. It's a long poem with four line verses. I've used bits of lines as titles for a few of my stories, too, like Through the Invisible.
This edition has beautiful illustrations which suit it well.
I'm glad you're doing this--I was going to tag you, but decided to do the open invite since I wasn't sure you wanted to use your fic journal for this. Can't wait to see what you'll post!
Can you have a look at my DW post and see if the image is visible there? To me, both posts look normal. As far as I can tell, I'lve made them public. I've gotten out of posting practice, apparently.
Also: see how hard it is to post something without saying a word about it? I've been wondering why that decree. Not that I've been fully loyal to it :)
1. I am not at all surprised :D 2. It certainly looks like you've gone through this book more than once! 3. Love the title font and the way it matches the fluidity of the painting--is it an illustrated edition?
Poor thing's been packed up and moved so many times and it's been in some very dry places, too, which surely were not good for it.
There is an assortment of simple line drawings that appear in changing order beneath each verse and about six full-colour illustrations scattered throughout. I'm tempted to photograph another one for you, but I'm having grave doubts about my tech skills today....
