I saw the movie, does that count? I wonder how much alike the movie and book were.

I loved Cosmos and Carl Sagan's enthusiasm for both the subject and for being able to share his knowledge with the audience.

I recall not being outraged when I saw the movie so I think it must have been fairly close (it's been many years), but I also remember thinking that it didn't have the same impact. Of course, I knew the ending by then, but I don't think it was just that.

I know, it was infectious, in the good way!
