Aw, thank you. Yeah, I walk past it three days a week to get to my computer programming class. I love that tower in the background, but the very top is the only particularly interesting part of the building, so I've been trying to find a direction to draw it from for ages. I finally realized that the best angle I was going to get on it was from behind, with other interesting things in front of it. Interesting note about the weather vane: After I drew that lion, I went to get something to eat, and I saw a guy with almost that exact same design on his shirt. The only difference was that its head was facing the opposite direction.
As for the ear...TOO LATE, YOU GUSHED. NOW IT'S YOURS.
It was really somewhere between patience and stubbornness. I finished it with an attitude of "I'll be damned if I'll let this thing beat me! I don't care if my back is hunched and my hands are stuck in claw-like poses for the rest of my life, I'm finishing this son of a bitch!"
