Happy Happy Three Day Trip - Part 2

The weather was really bad which was more than weird because less than an hour ago the Sun was shining brightly in the middle of the sky. In any case, Arashi was now completely soaked, frozen, and totally lost in the middle of nowhere.

Another flash of lightning scared Aiba again, the latter hiding behind Sho’s back.

“Aiba-chan, what’s wrong with you?” Asked Sho with concern.

But before the tall man could even reply, Nino’s voice came from the bottom of what seemed like the main hall.

“Sho-chan? When did you come here for the last time?”

Sho started to walk following Nino’s voice while Aiba gripped the hem of his wet vest. When they reached the other three, Sho stroked Aiba’s back in a soothing manner.

“Hum…Six months ago.”

“And you’re sure you saw a student at that time?” Nino asked again with a soft voice.

“Well yes. Why?”

“It seems like this school had been abandoned since more than six months…” Whispered Ohno.

They were standing in front of a vast hall with different doors on both sides. Some of the windows were broken, glass all over the dirty floor; the cold wind coming from the windows blew on the numerous papers and making a scary sound. There were also some broken tables and chairs everywhere. The walls were black and dirty as if a fire had occurred in the building. Everyone in Arashi thought that it was the case until Jun picked up an almost completely burned paper at his feet.

“I think…it wasn’t the same school, Sho-chan…” He said, before showing the paper to his friends, with a date written in a corner.

“May the 1rst of 1992?” Read Nino out loud. Now it was sure, this school had been abandoned for a while!

“I’m not staying here!” Aiba shouted suddenly.

“Me neither.” Jun agreed, walking towards Aiba and wrapping an arm around the tall idol’s shoulders.

“Even if there’s a phone here, it wouldn’t work anymore…” He added.

The other three nodded silently, and Aiba sighed deeply from relief when he saw the door in front of him. It was just a nightmare; nothing he had dreamed of the last night was real.

It was just a nightmare.

Suddenly, a strong blast slammed the door close, giving the five men a start. Aiba ran towards the door and tried with all his might to open it again.

“I can’t open it!” He said, looking at his friends behind him; fear was present in his eyes.

“Opens up! Opens up! Opens up!” Shouted Aiba, kicking and pulling on the door.

Seeing that his friend was in a total panic, Sho wrapped Aiba’s chest from behind and pulled him away from the door.

“Calm down, Aiba-chan!”  Sho tried his best to calm Aiba down, but the tall idol was strong and nearly hit the rapper as he tried to free himself from the embrace.

However, Aiba’s moves became weak as Sho whispered reassuring words in his ears and hugged him strongly.

“I’m scared, Sho-chan…” Aiba cried softly, gripping the arm against his chest.

Ohno, Nino and Jun tried to open the door, but it was firmly closed; they needed to find a new exit.

“Something doesn’t want to let us go…” Aiba whispered while crying.

Sho tried his best to reassure him by rocking him but it was in vain. Aiba knew what was going to happen.

“Don’t be silly! There’s nothing here!” Groaned Nino, heading once again for the main hall. Maybe he was a little scared, but he would never admit it.

They decided to exit this strange and creepy school by passing through the windows; since they were broken it wouldn’t be a problem.

However…

“Did someone notice the bars on the windows?” Asked Jun, worried.

“But…there wasn’t any just a second ago!” Exclaimed Nino, pulling on the said bars; it was useless.

“Bars don’t appear by magic!” Snapped Jun.

“Listen…” Started Sho, still holding one trembling Aiba in his arms.

“This is a school; there must be another exit somewhere. We will definitely found it if we explore the school.”

Even though none of them said anything, the idea of exploring this huge and scary and dark school wasn’t a great idea. But they didn’t have another choice. As they walked slowly in the main hall, Ohno’s voice filled the heavy air with a soft tune.

“What are you doing?” Asked Jun, annoyed.

“I thought some music would be cheerful…’We can make it’ seemed appropriate.” Said the leader with his usual phlegm.

“Well that’s creepy!”

“’Truth’ would be better?” Ohno asked Nino.

The group walked silently, and it seemed like hours. On both sides were doors, some opened, some closed; windows with rusted bars, and the usual mess on the floor. The cold wind coming from the broken windows made strange sounds that seemed like a deep and bloodcurdling breathe. Their footsteps echoed in the huge corridor as if someone was following them.

“This corridor has no end!” Whined Nino, sitting on the dirty floor and taking his head between his hands.

Jun took his phone and sighed when he was that there still was no signal. “It’s already 11 P.M.” He sighed once again and joined Nino on the floor.

“We should find a room and take a rest. Maybe we will find an exit tomorrow.” Sho suggested.

At the same time a loud noise echoed in the corridor and several doors behind and in front of them slammed close. The men looked at each other, fear presents in their eyes. No one even dared to speak for a short time. This place was strange and really scary, but haunted places only existed in movies and books. There was nothing to fear, because this is was the reality!

“Th-This is…the wind.” Rationalized Sho, nodding at his own words.

“But…there’s no wind outside…” Whispered Aiba, watching the trees through the windows…the leaves were strangely still. Just at that moment the taller idol saw something red flying in front of the broken window.

“What was that?!” He exclaimed, hiding behind Sho.

“What ‘what’?” Asked Jun as he stood up.

When his hand touched the floor, something slimy slipped between his fingers. “What the…” Jun grunted, wiping his hand on his jeans as he brought himself closer to the window.

“J-Jun?” Called Ohno, pointing at Jun’s bottom. “There’s….something….”

“B-Blo…This is blood!!” Screamed Aiba, running far away his friend.

Nino jumped from his place and touched his own bottom, discovering that he was covered with blood as well.

“This is disgusting! Where does it come from?!”

Ohno walked slowly and looked at the floor, the dim light wasn’t helpful but it seemed that the two idols had sat on a small dead animal.

“Seems like a mouse…” Said Ohno.

“Mice don’t bleed that much!” Jun replied with an angry and disgusted tone.

“Well…you sat on it so…” Ohno tried to explain, but Jun cut him short.

“I need water!” And he needed it very much! Just knowing that there was a disgusting mouse’s blood on him…

As soon as Jun had finished his sentence, a door near the group opened slowly with a spooky creak and was ensued by another sound. It was something like…water’s drops?

“I really don’t like it…” Whispered Nino, but he had to admit that he needed water as well, the blood was all over his jeans and maybe on his skin.

As they walked slowly towards the room, they didn’t notice the mouse running away.

“This sound reminds me of something.” Said Ohno innocently. “Did you know that water dropping was the sound you hear before the bogeyman’s appearance?”

“My dear Oh-chan, thank you very much for this useful and not scary at all comment…”

They stood up in front of the opened door for a while, as if they were waiting for the bogeyman. But nothing except the sound of the water welcomed them. The small room was in fact a bathroom with two stalls and a basin from where the water was dropping. Jun and Nino took a deep breath and entered the room, followed by Ohno. When Aiba wanted to follow them he stopped when he saw Sho walking further in the corridor.

“Where are you going?” Asked the tall idol, grabbing Sho’s wrist firmly.

“Well…if there’s a bathroom here, that means the gymnasium is near…I thought we could sleep there.” Explained Sho.

“I’m not sleeping here!” Whined Aiba.

“Come on Aiba-chan! It’s too dark and late. We can’t find our way right now; tomorrow with the daylight it will be easier.”

Aiba didn’t have the time to reply because suddenly Jun’s scream came to their ears. They ran towards the bathroom and discovered one angry Jun who kicked one of the stalls’ doors.

“What happened?” Sho asked anxiously.

Ohno turned his head and shrugged.

“There’s no water!” Answered Jun, sighing.

“But…we heard water’s drops…” Said Sho.

“Well…maybe the plumbing is broken here and the sound came from another place. Because believe me Sho-chan…this room is as dry as the desert!”

The group came out from the room quickly when Sho told them about the gymnasium. They didn’t hear a soft laugh coming from the bathroom as the water started to spill into the basin.

Soon they found the gymnasium, and just like Sho had hoped there were some mattress they could sleep on for the night. They all gathered in a corner of the huge and silent room, their steps echoing louder than before. Nino and Ohno slept together on one mattress while Jun took one for himself just like Sho until he saw Aiba standing in front of him.

“Can I sleep with you Sho-chan?” Aiba asked with a soft voice, looking at his feet.

Already lying on the old and uncomfortable mattress, Sho nodded and Aiba smiled genuinely as he came into Sho’s embrace. The tall idol put his head against the rapper’s chest while the latter wrapped a strong arm around Aiba’s waist.

They all felt silent; exhausted from their journey and more particularly hearing if any sound would come up again. And they didn’t wait for that new sound for a very long time: soft moans came from a corner.

“Wh-what is it?!” Whispered Aiba, leaning against Sho a bit more.

“Hum…s…stop…it…” Came the soft voice.

“NINO! Would you stop that!” Screamed Jun angry.

“What?! I can’t even have my private time with Oh-chan?!” Replied the little brat in the same tone.

Jun made a disgusted noise while Sho and Aiba sighed from relief. They became silent again, until Aiba spoke softly.

“Sho-chan, are you scared?”

“Not really. Why?”

“Because you heart is beating so fast…” Whispered the tall idol, snuggling up to Sho a little more.

Sho was scared of course, but the reason why his heart was beating hard was because Aiba was in his arms, because he could feel Aiba’s warmth against his body. It wasn’t as if they hadn’t slept together in the past; they have shared a hotel room during concerts, but somehow this time it was different.

“Well…maybe I’m a bit scared… I don’t know what’s going on and that scares me…” Replied Sho, licking his lips.

“So, even Sho-chan is scared sometimes?” Aiba hummed.

“Hey Chip and Dale! Shut up!” Grunted Nino.

The said Chip and Dale laughed softly, and they closed their eyes after Sho had kissed Aiba’s forehead.

But it wasn’t bedtime yet. Jun who had turned on his Ipod (just to keep his innocent ears away from Ohmiya’s noises), started to speak loudly.

“Nino! I asked you to stop it!! I still can hear you!” Though he had turned the sound up.

“What are you talking about?!” Grunted Nino for the nth time. “My hands are in my pockets, I swear!”

“Nino! This isn’t funny!” Replied back Jun who didn’t hear Nino.

The magician sighed angrily and stood up; he came towards Jun and pulled on one of his earphones.

“And I said ‘I didn’t do anything!’”

Jun was used to Nino’s bad jokes, but he could still hear the scary voice in his earphones even though was in front of him with his mouth shut. Jun pulled the other earphone and turned his Ipod off.

“Okay…that’s scary.” Muted Jun, pushing his mp3 as far as he could.

No one asked Jun what he had heard…they really didn’t want to know. Nino sighed again and walked towards the exit of the room.

“Where are you going?” Asked Ohno, worried.

“I have to pee! I’ll be right back.” Replied Nino without any shame.

They didn’t reply back and only focused on Nino’s footsteps becoming weaker as he went away. A heavy silence ensued and they all prayed for Nino’s quick return. But they only hear his voice in an awful strangled scream that gave the group a start.

“Nino?” Called Ohno, looking at the exit and hoping Nino would show up laughing.

However, it wasn’t a voice that came in response, but music…video game music.

“Wh-what is it?” Aiba asked, really worried.

“It seems…some Mario BGM?!” Replied Sho, recognizing the little music playing when you lost a life.

“B-but…Nino didn’t take his DS with him!” Exclaimed Ohno, already imagining the worse.

“And…the music doesn’t play repeatedly like this…” added Jun.

They all searched for where the music was coming from, until they noticed a soft light in the middle of the room. The four men ran towards it and discovered the DS playing that annoying music again and again. The screen was black with in the middle of it a little Mario followed by the sign ‘x4’. While Ohno, Aiba and Sho tried to understand how the DS came here, Jun lifted his head and opened his eyes wide.

“Ni-Ni-NINO!” He shouted in horror.

The other three lifted their head as well and stared at Nino’s body dangling at the end of a rope.
