Chapter 4:
Hiromu was still hunched up on the grass while Eiji and his other friends carried on kicking him, the kicks getting stronger. It was as if they found the meaning of their life in it, and when a whimper left Hiromu’s mouth they hit harder and even laughed.
“Get up!” Begged Jun in a whisper, spying them behind the tree and holding Nino’s hand tight.
“They’ll kill him if we don’t do anything!” Added the youngest idol as he turned around and faced his band mates.
“They’re too young to have the strength to kill him.” Replied Nino seriously.
“He’s still a kid! He’s so small and young and…”
“Jun. I think you should go back to work!” Ordered Nino.
The gamer stared coldly at Jun and let the other no other choice. It was rare when Jun listen to one of them and especially Nino, but there was something in his eyes that dissuaded Jun to argue more. Something meaning that Jun wouldn’t understand what was good for Hiromu or not. Sho watched Jun walking towards the staff then focused on Nino again. Tonight something was strange with him, Nino wasn’t that severe usually. The rapper knew his friend had experienced the same thing as Hiromu, but…wouldn’t he be more compassionate?
It felt like hours and without noticing Nino was whispering between his clenched teeth.
“Get up…For God’s sake get up stupid kid!”
Each second only meant a new kick, a new laugh and a new wound. A few minutes later, when no more sound came from Hiromu’s mouth, Eiji and his band left the park. They simply left Hiromu, lying motionless in the grass. The girl named Julie looked at Hiromu with a sad look before one of Eiji’s gorillas dragged her.
“Ni-Nino?” Called one surprised Sho as he saw his friend leaving as well, without even glancing at the poor kid that was still hunched up.
Of course no answer came, and Sho ran towards Hiromu as fast as he could. He knelt in the mud the other kids had made by stepping in the grass and if need be on Hiromu. He didn’t bother if he spoiled his clothes he had already finished his work anyway.
“Hiro-chan?” Called gently Sho in a whisper as he pushed back a strand of hair in front of the silent kid’s eyes.
The idol felt his heart beating again when he heard the kid sniffled.
“Does it hurt?” Asked Sho in a whisper while stroking gently Hiro-chan’s cheek.
The latter nodded softly and as delicately as he could the newscaster carried him in his arms. He didn’t want to worry the other members and went into their van without thinking. Hiromu lay down on the seats and started to cry loudly.
“I’m…tired…”
“It’s been a long day indeed…” Agreed Sho while searching for some medicine in his bag.
“No…I’m fed up with all those things! I wish I was never born!” He shouted, tears falling down his cheeks and fists clenched tight.
“Hey! Don’t you dare say something like that again!” Said the rapper furious.
He calmed down quickly and took the kid on his lap. With a warm hand he cupped Hiro-chan’s face and forced him to look at him.
“You have to be strong.” Explained Sho with a sad smile.
“I’m…not. I’m alone and I’m not strong enough to beat them.”
“You’re not alone. Not anymore.” Whispered the rapper giving the kid a bear hug.
Hiromu buried his face in Sho’s chest and cried his heart out. The idol closed his eyes and tried to comfort the young boy patting his head softly.
Outside, Nino listened quietly as he rested his back against the car. When Aiba joined him, he could see that the gamer was in a very bad mood, which was rare. The always cheerful idol asked what was wrong and Nino left without looking at Aiba, but spoke loudly enough for Sho to hear.
“Being nice won’t help him!”
“Neither being mean…” Added Sho in a whisper.

When the filming was over, Jun, Ohno and Nino walked silently towards the car. Ohno was following the other two as he tried to understand why they seemed so gloomy. Jun got into the van, followed by Nino then Ohno. The leader smiled when he saw Aiba and Sakurai asleep with Hiromu in their arms, sleeping as well. He looked at Aiba, resting his head against Sho’s shoulder while his hand was on the rapper’s one which was on Hiromu’s back.
“They’re so cute!” Whispered Ohno, being careful to not wake them up.
Jun nodded as he smiled genuinely. However Nino…he simply shrugged and started his DS without even glancing at his friends.
*~*~*~
Once the van reached Tokyo it was already midnight. Though it have been decided earlier that Nino would take Hiromu with him for the night, the gamer wasn’t as glad as he was in the morning. But if they followed their schedules, only Nino had his morning free and so, only he could take care of Hiromu. The idol clicked his tongue as he put his DS in his bag when the van stopped in front of his home. He got off and opened his arms when Ohno gave him one sleepy Hiro-chan.
“Good night and sleep well.” Said Ohno smiling softly before he closed the door.
Nino watched the van moving away and sighed as he looked at the kid in his arms. “I’ll try…”
The idol pushed the door slowly with his foot and entered his room silently. Without switching on the lights, Nino walked into his bedroom, put the kid in his bed delicately and tucked him in. He stroked Hiromu’s cheek gently with his fingertips and exited the room without a sound. Lying down on his couch he grabbed a blanket and thrown an arm over his tired eyes. The day had been exhausting but somehow it wasn’t his work that put him in this state. For the first time in a while, Nino felt sick. It wasn’t a fever or his stomach but somehow he wanted to throw up.
Just when Nino was falling asleep, light footsteps and a soft voice called his attention.
“Nino? Are you asleep?” Whispered Hiromu from the doorframe.
“…Yes…” Sighed the idol without moving.
“Liar!” Hiromu pouted.
When no answer came from Nino, the kid tried to call him again.
“Nino? Could you sleep with me tonight?”
“No.”
“Why?” Asked Hiromu with a shaky voice as tears were forming in the corner of his eyes.
After a long silence, Nino replied dryly without even looking at the kid.
“I won’t sleep with a stranger.”
“But…this afternoon, we fall asleep together!”
“Wrong.” Said Nino simply.
Then with a loud sigh he stood up and switched on the lights. He could see Hiromu, head low and fists clenched fighting his tears back. Slowly Nino walked towards him and sat in front of him.
“I’ve fallen asleep with Hiromu the little brat, not Hiromu the little girl!” The idol stroked his own cheek before sighing again.
“Listen…I know it’s hard, really. But we won’t be behind your little cute ass forever! You need to be strong and to fight back!” He explained softly.
“I’m…I’m not…” Started the kid.
“Yes you are! You may not have strong arms, but…” Suddenly, Hiromu felt Nino’s finger on his chest, where his heart was beating fast.
“Here. You need to be strong h.e.r.e!” The idol said in a whisper as he pressed his finger on Hiro-chan’s chest.
“And here too.” He added touching the kid’s forehead.
“Where’s the kid that called us pedo?” Laughed Nino, recalling Sho’s face at that time.
Hiromu didn’t say anything. He wasn’t crying anymore and was silent for a long moment. Nino sighed heavily, tired and disappointed by the kid’s behavior. Maybe he was wrong; maybe that kid wasn’t like him in the end. He was just one of those daddy’s boys who bemoaned his fate!
The gamer stood up and stared at Hiromu angrily before he went back on his couch. Just when he wanted to send the kid in his bed, a sharp comment filled the silent room.
“Being taught by a seventeen years-old otaku and a sleazy magician…I’ve sunk very low…” Said the voice before Nino heard footsteps in the bed room.
After a short moment, Nino shouted playfully. “I’m the best magician in this world!”
“You wish!” Came the answer and Nino could picture the smirk the kid had on his face.
Nino closed his eyes smiling proudly.
*~*~*~
It’s been already a week since Hiromu spend all his time with Arashi. The kid followed them everywhere and he has to admit that the boys were really famous and busy. According to their schedules each Arashi members took care of Hiromu and by the end of the second week the kid would have visited and slept in the five members’ rooms. Something funny, Hiromu was acting differently with each member. He was silent and calm when he was by the leader’s side; cheerful and a bit airheaded while dawdling with Aiba; laughing with Jun every time they saw someone falling down ridiculously or getting hurt (particularly Sho). Speaking of the newscaster, Hiromu was caring and failing whenever he was around Sho. Finally with Nino…
“Hey! Give it back!” Shouted Hiromu when Nino entered the greenroom and stole his candies.
While the guys were filming one of their numerous TV shows, Hiromu waited in the greenroom watching some concerts of the guys or simply an old episode of their shows.
“I’m taking care of you Hiro-chan~” Said Nino with a mocking tone. “We don’t want our dear little Hiro-chan being fatty!”
“I’ve still have a long road to go before I reach you Nino-chan~” Replied Hiromu back as he threw a cushion in Nino’s face.
The idol dodged it and the cushion landed on Ohno’s face.
“Look! What have you done to my awesome hubby’s face?!” Shouted Nino falsely angry.
He then pointed at Aiba and ordered him: “Soldier Aiba! Get all the munitions ready! The enemy called for the war!”
“Sir! Yes sir!” Shouted Aiba as he gave the military salute.
Giggling Nino and Aiba grabbed all the cushions they could before hiding behind the couch. Hiromu did the same helped by Jun. This was the calm before the storm, only Aiba’s giggles could be heard. Ohno and Sho watched the scene from the corner of the room, both arms crossed upon their chests and a genuine smile on their faces.
“CHARGE!!!” Screamed Jun as he stood up from behind the couch and threw two cushions at a time.
Hiromu jumped from behind Jun and threw one as well. The opposite side fought bravely as well, and the laughs and happy shouts filled the room. Sho looked at his watched and grabbed his bag. He whispered something in Ohno’s ear; the latter nodded and hugged the rapper before waving at him.
After a moment everything was calm in the room and judging by the cushions on the floor, Ohno knew the little war was already over. Once he had changed his clothes and was sure that the guys had no more munitions, he crossed the room and reached his bag.
“Sho-chan asked me to remind you to not forget cleaning the room before leaving.” Said the leader as he reached the door.
“Eh? Where’s Sho-chan?” Asked Aiba, looming up from behind the couch.
“He has left a few minutes ago.”
“Already?! I haven’t….I mean…We haven’t said him goodbye yet!”
Silently, Jun, Nino and Hiromu picked up the cushions on the floor and cleaned all the mess they had made. With a heavy sigh, Jun fell on the couch next to Aiba and wrapped an arm around the taller idol’s shoulders.
“He’ll be back soon, don’t worry. You will welcome him and he’ll be happy.” Comforted Jun though he tried to use a normal voice.
Aiba nodded as he let a soft sigh cross his lips. Hiromu looked at Nino who was searching for a trash bin in which he could hide a broken vase…the only one victim in their little game.
“Where did he go?” Asked the kid as he sat near Aiba.
“China. For News Zero.” Replied Aiba depressed.
“Being in love hurts sometimes, right Aiba-chan?” Smirked Nino.
“I AM NOT IN LOVE WITH HIM!” Shouted Aiba as he jumped from the couch.
“Yes you are.” He loved teasing Aiba, and his feelings for Sho were the best topic.
“Sho-chan…here. This is for you, I’ve made it myself!” Said Nino mimicking his taller friend. He jumped towards Jun and offered an invisible gift to the youngest.
“Oh? Really?” Asked Jun, standing up and taking the imaginary gift from Nino’s hands.
“I…I don’t know what to say…You shouldn’t…I….”
“Sho-chan this isn’t something great but I’ve put all my heart in it!”
“ENOUGH!” Screamed Aiba, grabbing Hiromu’s hand and exiting the room in a hurry. The two others could see his red cheeks.
“Aiba-chan!” Jun was still playing Sho’s role.
“Oh! Sho-chan!” Nino threw himself on Jun.
“Aiba-chan…” Whispered Jun, caressing Nino’s cheek gently.
“Sho…chan…” Whispered Nino as well, bringing his lips closer Jun’s.
“…Kazu…” Was the last sound before Jun pressed softly his lips against Nino’s.
The latter responded to the kiss and parted his lips to give the younger one access to his mouth. They shared a passionate yet deliciously slow kiss. Once they broke the kiss, they looked at each other for a second before Jun patted Nino’s head playfully. The gamer pushed himself away and smiled at Jun, before he threw a cushion at his face and exited the room.
“What a brat!” Smiled Jun.

Note: Hi everyone!! 8DD
How have been your week? Great? Of course great! All those Arashi videos, magazines, Monster (did I say how great this song is?)
Okay...the main reason that I'm so cheerful is that I've learned that I'll be an AUNTYYYYY!!!! \^o^/ I'm sooooooooo happy right now! I can't believe I'll have a tiny little human being under my care!!! Nyaaaaaaaaaaa x333
Back onto the story...Don't ask me WHY I've put some Matsumiya in this story because I don't know XD I just felt like it! It's unusual from me since I like to write everything as I planned... Maybe is it because I'm in a Sakumoto need? I've just though of a little One-shot about Sakumoto....maybe I'll write tonight....don't know yet XD
Anyway! How was this chapter? I know there's a lot of readers but there's only a few comments...not that I ask for comment, but I wonder if people read this story and find it bad? I mean...even if it's bad you can tell me! Constructive criticisms are always welcome! I just want to improve myself ^^
See you next week guys!!
