“He died desho?”
“I believe so Dai chan, That was quite a fall...”
"Guess we need a new manager than...."
"Hai..."
Yuto looked up and shivered as two white bags containing the bodies were placed into the ambulance. The boys sat silently with the paramedics, covered in warm blankets.
“So, she tried to save you?” Rei approached Yamada who looked up at her.
“Yes...she did...she thought he was going to kill me...little did she know...that was his plan all long.”
“But the phone call? How did he manage that?” Ren asked handing the boys water bottles which they accepted gratefully.
“I think he recorded our conversation...I recalled the whole thing earlier...but he must have cut pieces of it out. Ah... wait... it must’ve recorded on my phone! I was listening to the radio.. a good song came on so I pressed the record button...I went for a walk that night”
Rei stared. “So he used your phone!?”
“I suppose so...but am I gonna get it back?”
“If you want it...still?”
Yamada stared. “Is it on his body?”
“No...We found it on yumi...”
“Then leave it with her...I couldn’t give her my autograph...I guess she should keep that...” he smiled weakly.
“I’d better not call that number anymore...” Daiki muttered and deleted it from his phone. Tomo smiled. “Im pretty sure the battery will die...I’m sorry you all went through this..”
“It’s alright... we’re back together... that’s what matters...” Yabu replied, as the rest of the boys nodded in agreement, despite their pale expressions.
“Alright than...the police will send you home...oh by the way we found some toys upstairs...binoculars and what not. Yours perhaps?...” Ren grinned at the boys who all looked away.
Inoo faked a loud cough and turned to face the wall. Tomo laughed. “I guess we should just keep it at the nursery back at the station...”
“Yeah you do that...” Hikaru smiled and patted a still coughing Inoo.
“Rei...who did you find?” Yamada looked at her.
“Lets not concern you with more trouble now shall we?” she replied gently, he nodded than looked away. She had a point.
“Yosh...let’s go...goodbye boys...” Ren smiled and moved back as Tomo and Rei prepared to shut the doors of the van.
“Wait...Thank....Thank you...so so much... for your help.” Yamada looked up at the trio who nodded
“It’s our job..” Rei smiled.
“I know this is weird but, I’ll miss you guys, I can’t thank you enough for being with me through this...”
“That IS weird Ryosuke...but I didn’t accept anything less from you..” Rei winked at him as Tomo and Ren chuckled.
“We’ll miss you too little guy...”
Yamada smiled. “Will I ever see you again?”
Rei stared at him as the doors of the van shut close. “Only if you kill someone Yamada Ryosuke......”
