Und, bist du "heil" aus dieser un"heil"vollen Stadt und Gesellschaft gekommen? ^^" So feel you, my family isn't something to enjoy either @@ *pat* Only once every year, it will eventually make you stronger...
Uhm, as far as I've understood, you're living with your parents right now, aren't ya? Do you think of running a small apartment for yourself in case you pass the entrance exams?
Hey, I'm living on my own ^^ I've only been at my parents place for Christmas ^^ (and that the first time in quite a while).
You see, I had to move to Vienna because there's no other place you can study Japanology in Austria, so I'm living on my own right now ^^" Even though I don't like it that much...living alone sucks sometimes xD
And the party was better than I thought! Somehow everyone said I've changed a lot and have become more open, and I could talk normally with my relatives (and tried to ignore my parents).
I'm not sure if I'm strong or really weak right now xD
Oups, seems like I'm VERY behind..°°° (ich sags ja, der Dachschaden...)
How are your neighbours? Do you even get to see them? Maybe there's some lucky coincidence and some students are among them you've already met at university. That's happened to a friend of mine, it was only after a year that she noticed a fellow student living in the very same floor ^^" Or go out a lot! :) Yeah, living ALL alone feels awkward at times.. but I'm not sure if I could make it in a living community ^^" I rather spend some sleep-overs with people I like every now and then, than live EVERY day with people I might get to not like some day.. must sound egoistic :P
Hey, a POSITIVE surprise! Your nerves have gotten thicker? ;P Maybe you needed a little break and a bit of distance. (My mom, for example, has been so AWfully nice to me only since I moved out..)
Hm, I think I have changed a lot in 2011. Especially because of my year in Japan. I've become more kind, BUT on the contrary, I have been damaged more than in any year, which is the reason why I am so broken right now.
I know that some annoying couple lives next to me. But they don't seem the type of person I'd like to know better. No other student except me lives here, I can guarantee you xD Or else I'd have known at some point.
Problem is that I feel extremely weak most of the time. I don't think that I am strong at all..
Well, it doesn't mean they don't get to me. It's just that I haven't had much contact with my parents, which is also nice for me, because I don't have to think about them.

I know that feeling - I once spent New Year's Eve studying for an English competition...

But I know what you mean. Studying while you're on vacation sucks!
