Open MSN Messenger, and go Tools -> Options, and then under the preferences tab, uncheck "Run Windows Messenger when Windows Starts."
If it's already unchecked, then I don't know what to do.
Also, once it has signed in, you can Click "To sign in with a different account, click here," and then sign in as yourself making sure to uncheck "Sign me in automatically." Hopefully it shouldn't do that anymore after that.
Click start, then run, then enter "msconfig.exe" into the box and hit enter. Ignore the scary warnings, then switch to the startup programs tab. Find the program that looks like it could be msn (msnmsngr.exe or some garbled likeness) and then deselect it. That should prevent it from rearing its ugly head upon start.
