I'm in ANT354 and I think it should be an interesting course. If you're interested in getting books for the course in advance, you can find two books at the Women's Book Store. I have yet to really look through the material, but I'm looking forward to the insight I get from the class.

Do you mind if I ask what the titles of the books are so I can check to see if they'd be cheaper on Amazon or Indigo (every penny counts! *^^*). Looking forward to meeting a fellow lj-er, even if it's in a class setting *laughs*

Crafting Selves by Dorinne K. Kondo and Re-inventing Japan by Tessa Morris-Suzuki. I just looked at Chapters and it is a bit cheaper to get the book by Tessa from there but I think Kondo's book is the same price. They both weren't very expensive books to begin with (thankfully). Now we just need to find out if we have a course reader to pick up too. XD I hope I get a chance to meet you in class! (^_^)

I'm glad you decided to let go of one of your classes. I don't want to see you burnt out before the end of the year. Plus, Japan in a Global Context sounds interesting, at least compared to Writing Systems.

I've actually only netted a half credit less after dropping three half credit courses and adding a full one, but the rearrangement should help keep me sane.
