Aiba Masaki woke up to his alarm clock and bounced out of bed.
today he was going to start training with his father to become a Hunter.
A vampire Hunter.
and he was excited about it, he would be the 5th Generation in his family to learn the art of vampire hunting.
Masaki had just turned 18 last week and he was now consider a man and able to handle becoming a hunter.
Masaki quickly got ready for the day, not wanting to be late.
once he was ready he quickly went out of his room and ran down the stairs almost running into his younger brother on the way.
"Nii-chan watch were you going!" yelled his younger brother Yuusike after him.
"GOMEN~!" he yelled back to him and kept running.
Masaki had almost reached the front door only to be stopped by his Mother who was waiting in front of it.
"And where do you think you're going?" she ask her eldest son.
" I'm going to train with Tou-chan today" replied Masaki trying to get his mother who was blocking the door to move.
"Not without breakfast, you're not a young man" She said as she pulled him into the kitchen.
"B-but Kaa-chan~" wined Masaki as she made him sit down and started to put his breakfast in front of him.
She watched as her son quickly ate the food before him, hoping he wouldn't choke at the speed he was devouring it.
in less than 5 minutes Masaki was done with his food and trying to leave again.
"Not so fast Masaki" said his mother stopping him at the front door again.
" Kaa-chan~" he pouted at his mother and looking to the door, it's knob is his grasp.
she let out a laugh at her Son, " I just wanted to say have a great day to my now grown up son~"
She walked over to Masaki and gave him a hug.
"Now you listen to your father ok and be safe" she gave him a quick peck on his forehead and then started chasing him out the door.
"Bye Kaa-chan~!" he yelled over his shoulder as he ran off to go meet his dad..
"Finally I will be a real vampire hunter". He put a cute smile onto his face and continued running.
Aiba Masaki was a very cheerful boy. He liked to be happy all the time. He always made the people around him happy and helped them draw the smile on their faces when they are sad. He was just a mood maker. Aiba always tried to hide his sadness and always heal himself whenever he was sad, depressed or disappointed.
Aiba was waiting for this day to come since he was young when his father told him about their family's secret and that they are vampire hunters.
Today he will take his first lesson from his father. His father got to the forest before him to make sure that there are no vampires there that can hurt Masaki. After all he is still a newbie and didn't know how to fight the vampires yet. So Masaki's life will be in a very big danger if any vampires happen to be in the forest. They could easily smell the newbie hunters and try to attack them, kill them before they even started to learn how to hunt vampires and be strong, threat the vampires life and fight them after that. Aiba's father was just too worried about his young man. He loves his son so much.
"Ohyao~~~~~~~." Aiba was panting from all the running. He put his hands above his knees and panted.
"Ohyaooo….My friend." Aiba's friend came close to him and hit Aiba's back playfully.
"Nino, Stop it."
Ninomiya Kazunari, this is Aiba Masaki's friend. They are neighbors and a childhood friends. They're best friends,because they are really close to each other. Aiba calls him 'Nino'. Nino is two years older than Aiba, so he is twenty years old. Nino looks like a 17 year old only and Aiba always made fun of him.
Ninomiya's family are vampire hunters too. Nino is the 4th generation in his family.
Aiba and Nino rarely fight with each other. Once, when Aiba discovered about his family's secret and figured out that Nino knew about it two years ago and didn't tell him about it. Nino just couldn't tell him about the secret. Aiba understood that quickly and forgive him. So yes they rarely fight.
"This is your day Aiba Masaki… You finally ready". Nino's father said.
"Hai~~ " Aiba answered happily and bowed to Nino's father.
"Ano… Where is my father." Aiba looked around him and can't found his father.
"He is double checking the forest so that his little prince won't get hurt." Nino grinned and teased Aiba.
" Hey!..don't say that." Aiba hit Nino's head playfully.
"You must be happy, Your father really loves you a lot." Nino's father rubbed on Aiba's shoulders. Aiba just smiled back. "And I love him too." Aiba whispered.
Ten minutes later, Aiba's father came from the deep forest and greeted them.
"My son, It is your first day...you have really grown up a lot and I am proud of you." He leaned close to his son and rubbed his hair.
"Then let's we start daddy." Aiba's voice was so loud. He jump up and down from the excitement.
"Don't be too hyper son." Aiba's father handed a full cup of yellow liquid to Masaki. "Here you must drink this first."
"What is that?" Aiba stared at the cup. He was confused.
"It is a drink you need. So your body start to get the vampire hunters power." Nino explain to his friend.
Aiba stared at the cup more and then took it from his Father. " It dosen't look delicious, but I must drink it, right." Aiba drank it in one sip.
"It is not yummy." He closed his eyes.
Everybody laughed at his cute reaction.
Aiba shook his head a few times trying to rid himself of the taste that was still in his mouth.
"Ok son, it's time to start" said his father as he led him over to a tree with a target on it.
His father then pulled out a small black leather pouch from his coat pocket and handed to Aiba.
Aiba opened the pouch took out three silver throwing knifes, the sun light glistening off the sharp blades.
"Ok, we are going to start with learning how to throw, first hold the knife like this..." Aiba's father started to show him how to hold and aim the knifes at the target.
they practiced for two hours throwing knifes at the target, Aiba's father correcting his son whenever he saw Aiba was not holding the knife or himself right.
Nino watched his friend try over and over again to hit the bulls eye on the target, barely missing it.
Nino let out a little laugh at his best friend, and Aiba gave him a look for that which just made Nino laugh harder.
Just then Nino, his father and Aiba's father all became quiet.
Aiba didn't get why they all stopped and started to listen, so he tried to listen too.
Just then they all heard a scream that chilled their blood, sending shivers up and down there spine's.
"Go". Said Nino's father to Aiba's, Aiba's dad nodded his head and took off running back to his home.
Aiba wanted to stop his father he didn't know why, but as soon as Nino's dad had said Go Aiba felt his heart hurt.
He felt like this was going to be the last time he was going to see his dad, and he didn't know why.\

lThere was danger. Very big danger. He could just feel it. Someone attacked his family. That scream!!, Is it his wife?. It can’t be. He must hurry up.
That's what was waving in Aiba's father mind.
He ran really fast and in just few minutes he could reach his home.
"Don't put your dirty hands on my wife". Aiba's father yelled.
Just like he felt. There are a danger. There was a vampire. And that vampire was holding his wife neck. He was very very close to her neck vein.
"Take your hands off." He yelled harder.
"Daddy." Yuusuki ran to his dad . The vampire was faster and caught the little boy by his hair before he even reached his dad.
"Don't be afraid Yusuki, daddy is here." He looked at the vampire and threw his dagger at him.
There was a loud scream.

They all waited in silence for ten minutes, the feeling of worry Aiba had got worst by the moment.
"I am going to go see if everything's all right, Kazu you stay here with Masaki, ok?!" Nino's father said as he started to leave.
"Got It." Came Nino's reply watching his father start to run off.
Nino watched Aiba pace back and forth, seeing the worry that was now showing on his face.
Nino never seen his friend this upset before, and was now wondering why the young man was full of worry.
"Masaki it's going to be ok so stop pacing, you are making me get dizzy." said Nino.
just then Aiba stopped, and look towards were his house was.
He took off running.
"HEY!" Yelled Nino running after him.
Aiba didn't know why but something felt wrong, he needed to get to his family fast.
He ran, ignoring Nino's calls behind him telling him to stop.
Just as his house got into view he saw some one stumbling out of the back door. He got there just in time to reach Nino's father and he collapsed.
His shirt was soaked in bright red blood, and some trickled down his face from a large gash that was in his forehead.
"OH MY GOD! DAD!!" Yelled Nino when he saw his father covered in blood and Aiba holding him.
"Here." Said Aiba giving Nino his father hold, "I am going inside."
"NO! DON'T!" yelled Nino but it was too late Aiba had already had gone inside.
Aiba walked through the house.
Everything was torn apart, it look like a twister had gone through the whole house.
He tried calling out for his Mom and Dad but no one responded to his call.
"Yuusuki? are you ok?" called out Aiba as he started go up the stairs.
They creaked as Aiba walked up them.
He walked down the hallway still calling out there names, a feeling now starting manifest itself in him telling him to turn back.
That he didn't want to go any farther than this.
But Aiba pushed the growing feeling back down as much as he could and kept going.At the end of the hall one door was slightly open light coming from it.
The feeling now was over whelming Aiba but he didn't stop, it was like he was on auto and just keep walking.
He slowly pushed the door open to revel a scene that made him scream.
Nino heard Aiba's scream and gently put his father down and ran into the house pulling out his two guns.
He ran up the stairs and to the end of the hall.
He found Aiba kneeling on the floor crying and Sobbing so hard that it broke his heart.
He quickly made sure that Aiba wasn't hurt but then saw what made Aiba do this.
Right in front of Masaki was the dead bloody bodies of his Mother, father And his little brother.
Nino looked away because he could take the site.
He looked back to his now broken friend, crying his soul out, hugged him tears spilling over his eyes too.
Nino then helped him up and led Masaki who was now lost in sadness, back outside.
Away from the scene that would now haunt the young man the rest of his life.
