I've been hearing good things about Iron Man, but I still don't know much about the actual comic so I've been a bit "eh" about seeing it. You'll have to give me your opinion, hurhur.
M. Night directing Avatar is still weird, the result will probably be... interesting. At the very least it will be like Avatar meets thriller, or even better-- Avatar meets Michael Jackson's "Thriller."
I really miss traditional animation, like you said, when everything is done CGI/3D-style, it all starts to mesh together and blah. Like it was great when it started off with Pixar & its Toy Story, Bug's Life, etc. and even Shrek, but now it's just kind of overdone imo. Still, I guess it's just the kind of stuff kids like to see, which is also the reason why the characters in M. Night's version of Avatar won't be Asian, because it just would appeal as much = less sales. Unfortunate, but true.
OH, and I never read Twilight, but ohnotheydidnt keeps having super epic Twilight posts just because the series is so ridiculous, so I'm kind of curious to see it.
Aaaaahhhh, I tried to find them but there's too much stuff to sift through. ;-;
I wanted to say, "If you see it, you have to read the book first to know how bad it is," but that might be considered cruel and unusual punishment. You could try and borrow a copy from someone; I'm sure one of our friends has it. But really, don't expect much out of it.
I had missed the third season, so my friend burned me a CD of the episodes she had. Unfortunately, she only had episodes 42-49 (RIGHT before The Day of Black Sun), so I haven't seen the rest of the released season three episodes. I checked out Wiki, and they confirm that the third season will be the last; apparently the last four episodes will be shown as a two-hour movie. (With a live string ensemble for the musical score, oooooooo...)
I also read on Wiki that "On January 8, 2007, Paramount Pictures' MTV Films and Nickelodeon Movies announced that they have signed M. Night Shyamalan to write, direct and produce a trilogy of live-action films based on the series..." He will be writing it, but below that excerpt they say the co-creators of Avatar will be involved in the writing process, which comforts me. I should be optimistic about it, too.
I DIDN'T THINK OF THE CABBAGE MAN. That would be funny. Oh, if they have the cabbage man, they have to have Frothers the Avatar Fanboy!!
