Breaking Dawn, by Stephanie Meyer, was released on August 1st. I've read the first three books, but decided not to buy this one. Instead, I simply Wiki'd it two days after it was released to read the plot and skip the annoying bits.

I laughed. It's so awful it's funny. Mary Sue ahoy!!

I read an interview MTV conducted with Meyer  prior to reading ( Read more... )

I hate how every news source keeps comparing these books to HP!!! >:|

I kind of want to read them, but mostly because I like long books and/or series, y'know, because I like something that lasts me awhile. But I am kind of worried after reading that interview. And that was a terrible picture of Stephanie Meyer! Sheesh.

and lmao @ hairy powdered donut. right on.

THE BIGGEST THING SINCE HARRY POTTER THAT IS SWEEPING THE NATION.

Ugh, I know. D:

I think you should read the books so that you can establish your own opinion. I've read the first three books, and even though I don't like them, there are a few things that are pretty good. Mainly the minor characters, aha.

Develop your own opinion~

Inorite?!

THAT IS ALL RIGHT. I UNDERSTAND.

IT DOES SEEM TO BE LACKING THOUGH DOESN'T IT? AT LEAST THERE'S A LILY POTTER MAGIC LOVE SHIELD, AND I GUESS HER DAUGHTER SHOULD BE RENAMED HARRIET OR SOMETHING SINCE SHE HAS HER MOTHER'S EYES AND IS SOME ALL-IMPORTANT FIGURE OR WHATEVS.

Hello! Bella is the biggest moper in history! When Edward left in New Moon? (I would cite other things but I'm reading New Moon right now.)

Oh wait -- sorry-- "Charlie" called her lifeless not a moper.

BULLSHEEEEET.

Still. What can I say. I am still unable to put the book down.

At going through a period of loving it, then liking it, then reading New Moon and going watching as the series spiraled downward into a black pit, then deciding I hated it, then liked it for the lulz - I have decided that I don't like it, but if others do that's okay as long as they don't try to pass it off as high literature. Some totally do.

By the way, I wanted to share this with you: Something is... ~HAPPENING~

Seriously, check this site out. Hilarious. SHARE IT WITH EVERYONE ELSE, because I haven't yet and don't know when I'll be getting around to it.

Also, if you don't feel like reading Breaking Dawn (and just want to skip past Eclipse), cleolinda (who I believe created the Movies in 15 Minutes community) has an amazing and hilarious chapter-by-chapter analysis and commentary of it.

"HOOR" hahahahaha!

I'll see what happens. New Moon isn't annoying me too much right now but I don't feel like buying a hardcover anyway so...we shall see.
