Hmm, I followed you through the kuroxfai community - and thought I'd comment here since it's more personal? I don't know.

It's not a bad first chapter: your writing is engaging enough and I'm curious what kind of twist you're planning with this. What I actually like is that you managed to get the tension and fear the mother (and the children) must have felt quite well across.
