Another Birthday

Well yesterday was my birthday, another year and a year older my life has change dramatically. It was my first birthday as a mother. I enjoyed my day, my students sang me happy birthday, my mom got me a cake from Nick, Ken got me Tokidoki stuff, and I just hung out. I plan on enjoying myself this weekend with (hopefully) D.O.V.

I’m sorry you’re feeling sad and uncreative though. :-/ Having a cosplay partner or group probably does help a lot for feeling excited and motivated. I’m still trying to decide on what to make for AnimeNext and feeling blah about it since a lot of the things I want to make are going to be pretty warm for then and I don’t have groups for anything.

Hmm… Since I think there are a few series we both like, would you like to try doing something together for AnimeNext?

Hope to see you at Matsuri if I can make it on Saturday. I'd planned to go with my brother on Saturday but things are a bit up in the air now since our father now wants him to work that day.

Even if it's not postpartum depression per se, a huge event like having a baby can make you feel a sort of letdown. I got that way after our wedding-- all that planning, all that craziness, and when it was over I suddenly felt like I had nothing to do anymore. Things like that pass eventually on their own, but do keep an eye on it; I worry about these sorts of things! It's my motherly side!

And I feel you on the writing thing... I just haven't done it at all aside from my LJ, and I kind of miss just writing for the fun of it.

If you're at Matsuri tomorrow, I hope I can see you. It's been a really long time!
