NYCC was a mess of disorganization, yes. x.x I wish I could have seen you at the con. ^^ The half time show was really good. The "volunteers" weren't really volunteering at all to do anything unless you bitched at them too. x.x I think it'll be better next year, but they really need to do something about the crowding... And I've actually never been to a Comic Con before, I don't know if it was their crowd or what, but I found a lot of people to be really rude and pushy. D: Don't let it get to you, though. If mature, polite people like you stop going, cons really will suck. Just keep that in mind. <3

OMG. T.T I had no idea that was you. I wish you said something, I apologize for not recognizing you. ; ; I have a super awful habit of not recognizing people in costumes I've never seen them in before. I now feel like an asshat.

The 2 years I've been to NYAF has been nothing but a bad experience for me, so I didn't go this year. I mean there were good moments (And I did meet you and Janina there) but a lot of that good happened not in the con. So I figured I wouldn't spend my money on it anymore. -As well as for other reasons-.

A lot of my friends did go though and they complained about the amount of people as well and the fact that NYAF was apparently non-existent compared to Comi-Con. I heard that they were planning on combining it next year again. I'm not so sure that will be a good move, but hey, who knows.

That aside, I've always been a pretty realistic person. So I always focused more on my life than cosplay even though I do love it. But a lot of times, cosplaying starts to feel overrated and like it's not worth it anymore. Personally I think it IS from dealing with less mature people -that seem that have grown in numbers-, it becomes such a turn off being around them after a while. And making friends through cons and cosplay was always a perk, (I ( ... )

Good luck with your next masters!

Sorry that you’re feeling ignored by some people. I tend to feel a bit awkward randomly calling people or asking about hanging out outside of cons since I worry that they’re busy with their own lives. ^_^; But we should hang out or have tea sometime like we were talking about at NYAF. Let me know when is good for you!

BTW, my brother just finished your Asuka photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fotofong/sets/72157625109249001/

I didnt even know you went to the con till I saw you post pics on your facebook. :( I think besides everyone growing out of cosplay. The NY/NJ cosplayers dont make as many cosplay hang outs anymore and that also dosent help that feeling distant feeling. I hardly could go to any cause I lived so far south. But now living with Xais I can actually travel and do stuff. Maybe someone re starting the cosplay hang outs or just hang outs in general besides just for drinking could happen?
