Summary: one lazy summer day...
The sun was shining unrestrainedly,casting its hot,molten-gold rays all over.Yunho smiled softly as he closed his eyes,as he felt the hot rays hit his closed eyelids.He liked summers,inspite of them being hot and sometimes unbearable.He could see a few kids running into some shade to eat their icecreams.Summers meant ice-creams.
And him....
The young man heaved a sigh of relief as he spotted the small ice-cream shop.It was blazing and rivulets of sweat ran down his back,chest and neck,soaking his already sweat soaked t-shirt.He entered the air-conditioned shop,closing his eyes as the cool gust of air hit him in all places.He stood like that,with eyes closed and mouth half open,letting the air cool him down.And when he opened his eyes,he knew he was a goner.
He thought he might be hallucinating due to the tremendous heat when he saw the pale,glowing skin.He thought he was hallucinating when the rosy lips smiled at him,though with a professional smile.He thought he was hallucinating when he heard the soft,bellchime-like voice.And he thought he was hallucinating when he saw the wide,doe eyes looking at him.
Summer sun may have gotten its brightness from the radiant figure.
Yunho opened his eyes,and saw the brilliant blue of the sky.It was clear and bright.With little wisps of clouds so haphazardly spread that it looked as if a kid had gone crazy with cotton wool and spread it all around.Yet,they didn't deter the transclucence of the sky.Summers meant cloudless skies.
And him...
'There are no clouds today'.
'So is it bad?',Yunho asked as he laid down beside the small figure.
'It is fun to see clouds floating in air.They seem so soft that you feel like bouncing on them'.
Yunho chuckled softly.He turned to look at the person beside him,the doe eyes looking straight up at the clear sky.The doe eyes so clear that he could see his reflection whenever he looked deeply into them.He could see the spotless skies reflected perfectly into the doe eyes.The transparent,clear eyes.
Summer skies may have gotten their clarity from the doe eyes.
Yunho let his folded knee spread out before him.There was a small breeze blowing,warm and balmy,doing nothing to lessen the heat.But Yunho welcomed it,nonetheless,as it ruffled his hair gently,caressing his locks.Like soft fingers running through them.Summers meant warm and soft breezes.
And him...
Yunho panted a bit as he ran all the way up the hill to the tree.He was a bit late as he was busy with his martial arts practice.He saw the familiar,small figure under the cherry tree,looking far away into the surrounding hills.He approached slowly,not wanting to disturb the beautiful scene in front of him.But he was feeling so hot,the shade looked enticing.And the breeze blowing was too warm.
'Hi',he breathed out as he dropped beside the person,panting a bit as he tried to fan himself.
'Hi'.
'Sorry.Practise took too long',Yunho said as he tried despearately to bring some coolness to his still perspiring body.
'It's ok.I hope it went well.Take some rest.The breeze is beautiful'.
'Beautiful?It is so hot and the wind is not cool',Yunho grumbled as he fanned himself. There was a slight chuckle as a small,cool hand rested on his arm,tugging him to lay down.Yunho obeyed it and and in an instant he felt the coolness of the breeze.He closed his eyes as soft fingers threaded through his hair,the combined effect of the breeze and fingers making him sigh in satisfaction.
'Relaxing,isn't it?'.
Yunho nodded,as he enjoyed the feel of the breeze.Or was it the light touch?He decided it was the touch as the fingers swept gently though his hair,bringing in the breeze.
Summer breezes may have gotten their gentleness from the soft touch.
Yunho opened his eyes again.He looked outside and saw the skies a lovely rose shade.The sun was setting.He must have dozed away.The blue sky was replace with unbelievably beautiful shades of pink and red,giving the purple line of the setting sun a wonderful background.Summer meant colourful evenings.
And him...
'It's tickling,Yun'.
'I am just laying my head.It's not my fault that you are over sensitive',Yunho said,as he deliberately shifted his head,earning cute giggles.He looked up from his position to see smiling doe eyes looking at him.Yunho put one hand on the raven head and brought the angelic face to closer himself.
'You are the one at fault',Yunho whispered over the pink lips and kissed them,nibbling softly and licking them.When they parted,the plump lips were a rosy red, complementing the pink blush which spread on the pale cheeks.
Summer evenings may have gotten their rosy hues from the lips and cheeks.
A slight shuffling from his lap caught Yunho's attention as he watched the night settle in.He shifted himself a bit,smiling as the shuffling slowed down and eyes blinked open
'Hey,baby.Slept alright?',Yunho asked,carressing the pale cheeks which immediately went a light pink at the touch.A honey-blonde head nodded as a small hand reached up to stiffle a yawn.Yunho chuckled and pulled the slim body to himself,hugging it.
'Are you hungry?',he asked as the person curled up again in his embrace,head on Yunho's chest as their legs tangled up together while Yunho leaned again on the patio door.The gentle breeze ruffled their hair again as the honey-blonde head shook this time.
'Not much.What time is it?'.
'Around 7',Yunho answered,stroking the soft hair.Immediately the person pulled away,doe eyes widening,showing shock and disbelief clearly.
'What?I had been asleep all this time?Oh god!You should have woken me up,Yun!Aigoo,you must have been all cramped up and hungry and-mmmph!'.The bellchime like voice was cut off as Yunho kissed the rosy,plump lips.When he pulled away,there was a shy blush on the pale cheeks.Yunho chuckled,pulling the thin figure to himself again.
'It's ok,baby.I am fine.You worry too much.I wasn't that hungry.And you were sleeping so peacefully,I didn't have the heart to wake you up.It must be tiring for you.Looking after the house and the cafe',Yunho said,kissing the soft hair and puling the warm body closer to him.The pair sat like that for sometime,enjoying the clear night sky and the company of each other.
Yunho entwined his hand with a pale one,his fingers tracing the thin platinum wedding band on the pale finger,his own pair a bit bigger.It glinted softly,showing the faintly shimmering words of promise of eternity engraved on them.But Yunho didn't need them.Why would he need them when he had endles summers before him.Endless time of togetherness. As long as summers were there.
'I love you,Jaejoongie'.
'I love you more,Yunho-yah'.
'And I love you the most'.
Summers always meant him.
