Dear, I don't like having to save you.
But I prefer it to the alternative.
I don't want you to get hurt.

I want you to be happy and healthy and well off.
I don't want you to need me. I want you to want me. But if you do need me I want to be there.

I would be happier if you never got into trouble. That's just the simple fact.But I don't begrudge helping you. I don't think "darn it rasn frasn I have to go help Walter again. I hate doing that".

Oh and when I said it was my job it was said with a smile. You are to at least some extent my responsibility now. That comes with the package. I can't have only the good things about you. I can;t only be there when you are happy. I don't work that way.

And dear I want to be there when things go wrong, I just don't want things to go wrong.

So don't be angry with me.
