You're right, Zoro did talk a lot, but it fit the mood of the story. ^____^

I really, really liked this. So many great lines capturing little insights into the Strawhat crew, and the whole Zoro backstory...was so poignantly sad and yet fit into the story you crafted so well. Loved the Zoro/Sanji interaction as well. The ending was great. Everything was great! *memories*

i read this YEARS ago, liked it enough to fav it in my memories. (i'm pretty bad at leaving reviews *shrug*)

anywho-
i swear to god, a couple months ago, i searched for weeks for this EXACT story ( i *knew* i read a story where zoro's mom cooked potatoes in the fire coals)

I gave up. Today, i'm on day four of searching for a completely DIFFERENT story, and i found this.... as soon as i read the title, and thought of the frantic search... and..
oh . my . god .... its the story!!!

i'm so happy to have a chance to read it again.
so - i had to tell you, after reading your story more than five(holy crap, going on ten!!) years ago, i still rememebred it fondly, and was overjoyed to get to re-read it!
