Hello, I just thought I'd let you know that our house purchase completed today. Hurrah! We are now the proud owners of a much-loved and desperately in need of decorating house, and we were very naughty and accepted the first quote we got for windows cause it was rather too good

Yeah, we worked it all out. The pipes are normal for terraced houses and as our house (yes, it's OUR house!) is only about eight from the main sewer and there are about twenty in the other direction we don't think any problem should affect us. Although I plan to keep an eye on our manhole as the drain right-angles under it!

We also managed to get house insurance with a company who don't care about previous flooding so we got a decent rate there. And so we were able to go ahead and purchase.

We are getting new windows in before Christmas and slowly turning it into ours. Hurrah!
