The storm room....duh duh duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

So yesterday was my first experience in the storm room and I actually really liked it. Dispatch may be something to look into for my future as a way to combat my incessant laziness since it's so high energy and so "fix this problem right now!". It was actually really cool. We got to check out the maps of the system and kind of problem solve and see if we thought it was fuses or a transformer etc. and on what pole based on where people were calling in. Then on top of that there were a bunch of different jobs like dispatching the trucks, keeping track of the board that kept track of where all the trucks were, clearing the jobs when they were done being repaired, entering the outage reports into our sepearate reporting system once we knew what caused them and exactly where they were etc. It was a good time believe it or not lol.

I work for national grid. We're a private electric (and some gas) distributor that serves a lot of eastern MA (some of western), upstate NY, and RI.
