Sally sighed when Stetins' ringtone began to play. She'd been waiting for the girl to call, almost dreaded it. This conversation was only the beginning. Eventually Stetins would know it all.

She hated Mr. Rogers and Mr. Stark for doing it this way. It was like peeling a bandaid back slowly, just made it hurt more.

"Hey, Stets." Sally didn't try and make her tone jovial. She doubted her friend would want that.

"Hey." Sally sighed. "This isn't bad, you know," she said without explanation. Blevins knew what she meant. "I mean, it's going to be an end to Don't Ask Don't Tell. The U.S. military can't kick out Captain America for being gay."

Sally wasn't so sure about that. The US government could pretty much do whatever they wanted. "Yeah, he did just come back and reveal he was alive." She leaned back on the bed and stared at the ceiling. "This is gonna be a hard time for him though. Some people are like...not gonna be happy."

"Unless Hydra forms an alliance with the 700 Club, I think he'll be okay," Sally said with a tired snort. She blinked. "Okay, wait, I can totally see that happening. And it's not good."

Sally scrubbed at her face with the heel of one hand. "I think, overall, it's a positive. And it kills those rumors that Maria Hill got her position at SHIELD because she is Captain America's ex." She yawned. "Oh, 'scuse me."
