I want a small dog so that I am not lonely so often when my friends schedules collide with mine and I am stuck alone in my house for hours upon hours. I bet I could find a small dog for a relatively inexpensive price that my parents would be okay with.

Get a shelter dog. They have always proven to be the best behaved and most greatful for a home. Don't go to a pet store and get a dog, I'll never speak to you again if you do. Those dogs come from puppy mills and its horrible. Don't help keep that evil alive. If you must get a pure-breed (which to me is silly unless you are really allergic like Harrison and have to have a non-shedding dog), then go find a good breeder.

Pound puppies are still the best. Get a great pal for under $100, and they'll fix it for you and give it all of its shots.

i like "small" dogs as long as they don't tremble like crack heads or yap. my shitzu was around bread loaf size, and she was a great lil bitch ^_^

i want one of those giant cats or a really fat one.

a lot of my loneliness was put to the back of my head after we got our dog. i then realized it was because i have no time to think about anything else other than her well being. she's seriously my child and i probably worry about her more than myself. but it turns out that i tend to revolve my schedule around her because i don't like to leave her alone and training is a whole other story. haha in summary, if you want a lax dog, do a lottt of research. i noticed the first comment about a puggle and i think i would say no to that unless you have a ton of time on your hands. that's what we have and she was a lot of work (still is). i hope you find the perfect dog though! it is something you won't regret. best friends for life
