It's really weird how sometimes you're just fiddling with a picture, trying to sharpen it, to bring more contrast or to blur it a bit, and you suddenly find yourself with a result that's totally unexpected!

It gets even weirder when, try as you might, you can't achieve the same result with another pic, dammit!!!

And what's really annoying is that

Well... I sharpened and blurred and sharpened again with a different filter, then I fiddled with contrast, etc etc... Then I ended up with what vaguely looked like a painting, so I dabbed here and there... et voilà! ::scratches head::
I thought I'd be able to do it again with another pic, but I just can't get the same effect... Which bugs me to no end, dammit!!!
And God you're so right! When I saw the cap I just thought : ROWR! Alpha!Daniel's about to plant one on poor clueless Jack! ;op
I just couldn't resist!

PS: There's a helluva storm outside at the moment: really scary weather... and I love it!!! ::grins insanely::

it must be something specific to that cap then! as nothing ever turns out exactly the same wiht diferent source pics, i know theres a way of saving a particular sequence of effects tho, but havent really looked into it! I should really, it would save alot of time.

Yes "Frustrating". That's the word!
I don't use 'customized' brushes or effects because my software doesn't 'like' them, but thank you for the links!! I'll go and have a look to get some inspiration. ;o)

Yeah well, got three kids (4 if you include hubbie) so I had to make a start. Went up town after work today and zoomed through the shops. One hour later, I'm carrying 6 (yes S.i.x) carrier bags home!!! I shop really fast!
