I have two small portable heaters you can use if you need them. They won't heat the house, but they'll keep a warm flow of air blowing on you. With the two portables, and leaving the oven cranked up, we made it though our furnace breakage without turning to icicles.

He fixed the furnace. THe electrical wires had some oil on them, which leaked from the last time he fixed the fucker. The oil acts an insulation, so the electrical components weren't contacting to light the fire. So far, so good. We need a new furnace, but better to replace a furnace when it's 70 degrees than when it's 17 degrees.

And these are electric, not the crappy gas ones we tried to use in Dave's ratty and frigid attic.

Oh, my gosh, that attic! how in hell did you guys play, with fingers freezing. I wonder how dangerous that place really was - rat trap, or, better yet, SQUIRREL TRAP!
