Cast Away

It’s a sad day in the Maslen household.

After many years of faithful service, I have decided it’s time say goodbye to my cast iron frypans.

I bought them over 20 years ago on a day trip to Parklea Markets.  Wandering finding stuff not to buy, I spied this set of three cast iron pans.  They were simple but solid with strong wooden handles and at 22, ( Read more... )

And I have decided to get rid of my Vision saucepans after sixteen years of faithfulk service. They are just a bit too chipped now for good use and besides, guylian broke one of the lids. How you can break a Vision saucepans is beyond me, but clearly not beyond everybody.

How, or even whether I replace them is a problem I'm leaving till a later date.

I know what you mean about the Salvation Army. They do good work, but, yeah, ideology issues here, too. And there are other places without the ideology issues, so... We take our stuff to the local charity shop that benefits our animal shelter. Win win win all the way around for us, as we're big animal lovers.

Hope your pans find a good home! They deserve it.
