I am never sure which of my sentimental blah blah I already shared on kink meme, due to my annoying comment-on-everything habit, but I have to (maybe) repeat: the idea of them celebrating in the Channel is such a strong symbol of them being equal, connected and yet always apart as I never saw before. A brilliant idea, I loved it from the first moment I realized what they are about to do.

I keep seeing this fic in the list of favourite fruk fics again and again and it fills me with stupid joy that despite the fact I didn't do anything to ensure its existence, something that I consider one of the best fics ever is so well-loved by other people too.

There is not much to say for me apart from a big Thank you for this wonderful adventure, and I refuse to be sentimental - I know I will reread this fic very soon and very often so it's not really over for me.

I'll give you advance warning of my sentimentality, haha.

Depending on which anon you were, you may have already mentioned the significance of the Channel idea, but you certainly didn't go into this much detail - you've mentioned everything that I meant to get across with the image and more. It's fantastic when readers can make me see new concepts in my own fic. ^^

I'm very surprised to hear that, since I've never seen anything of the kind (although admittedly my fandom activity is limited given my busy life right now), but it's an extremely exciting and flattering thought. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm - it's quite something that you would be so happy to see that.

Ahh, I finally found this! I've been looking for a de-anon version of this ever since I read it on the kink meme. This seriously revised my headcanon for established relationship canon 'verse FrUK. You write them so well; their banter and snark is just as I imagine it and you make them all kinds of sweet without breaking character.

I think this last chapter and the second one are tied for my favorite. I like this one especially because of the sense of home. (Not sure if that's even the right word for it.) They're just so comfortable with each other. It's adorable.

Ooh, really? That's very flattering, thank you! I'm glad my decision to de-anon was the right one then. This was actually my first time writing established FrUK, so it's crazy to think that it could have had an influence, haha. I'm really glad you liked their characterisation. ^^

Thanks for the info, it's a good thing to know! The second chapter is my personal favourite (I have a particular interest in WWI-era history), but it's great if the later chapters are also enjoyable and the fic doesn't seem to decline. That feeling of being at home was my exact aim! :)
