THERE WAS ONCE an old swan who, it is said, was "ever speaking of morality, but otherwise in his conduct." He would instruct the birds and they would fish in the sea for food to repay his teaching. When they were gone, their eggs disappeared, first one and then another and so on. One bird who noticed that stayed behind, only to discover that the ( Read more... )

It's a useful word. I'm fond of those to whom it applies.

Floating mirrors, paper hats. They'll never burn up because they keep reflecting. The water helps.

If all a bird can be is a bird, well no wonder he keeps switching. He should find one of his own kind.

An odd idea or two is usually built into the holy man package, but "bird" is definitely a terminal situation -- even snakes and cats are making larger evolutionary leaps. Me, I just keep bringing Maya junk for his bridge and he occasionally lets me in on a trick. I want him to finish that bridge that spans the gulf. Even if the bridge is made of foil boats each carrying a little lee light. Maybe even especially if.

Ridgely said I should add you, I dont write much, but, what I do it is like having the ghost of Morrisey in Hitlers closet or something.

You seem cool, even if you like the Patroits :p

Always happy to hear Morrisey's ghost mooning away in that bunker. I'm not even a Pats fan -- Steelers are my team in the East (it only gets ugly if they're playing Denver).

Ridgely is actually a newer fan to the Steelers, but she bleeds the black and gold the same. She nearly choked on her drink at the ESPN Zone watching the Indy/Colts game and she wants a Polamalu jersey really bad if you reallypestered her about it.

I personally loved that Denver game this year. Only because my friend back home is a die-hard Denver fan and for the fans who brought the "There's a new #7 in town and he's wearing black and gold" banner.

I have come to the conclusion that enough time has lapsed since our introduction that it would be less than creepy for me to add you. Hello. :)
