I'll start with a true, though I am not sure what the parameters are yet. Unconditional love does exist, just not as it is popularized. The Jesus/Buddha type of loving smile at someone even though they are whipping you [against your will, now. ;)] That is unconditional love, but it is not the only manifestation of it. You can be utterly furious at someone, yet still love them deeply. Uncontional- without conditions or reservations; absolute. Love- a deep and tender feeling of affection for or attachment or devotion to a person or persons. Doesn't say anything about feeling nothing else, about loving and excluding all other emotions. Just as a current can move without disturbing the surface, so too can love be a constant while other passing emotions temporarily take the foreground. If I become upset with an action or series of events which my love has given rise to, I do not cease to love them, rather my enduring love spites my frustration and they do struggle, transient anger and ageless love, the former burning brighter because of ( ... )
