Kagome's mind was in an uproar. Ever since, she returned from showing Kikyou the way back, she's been making a lot of noise as well as wearing a hole in her carpet. First she had to deal with Kisshu and Ichigo and now Kikyou. Her rival, the girl who she was the reincarnation of! What was she going to do now! She had enjoyed her place here as the herbalist but Kikyou will take that away from her with her superior spiritual powers. What If Inuyasha arrived? Kagome already knew who he would pick! She was just second best...she was a stand in. There was no way that he would pick her. Why did Kikyou have to come! Why! She knew that she almost liked it here because if he had ever shown up then...then they could be together...but that hope was gone now.
She sighed and threw herself on her bed, finally quieting down. Her life just got even more complicated but at least it was okay for now. Her feelings for Kisshu were slowly waning and her acceptance of him and Ichigo being together was mostly formed. She felt slightly jealous of them but that was because she was afraid of losing him as a friend more than anything else. She reached up and gently touched a tear that she didn't realize she had shed. Oh Inuyasha, how long was it going to take you to find her.
