A lovely tale of a road elsewhere and a fine man and a day full of reminders. I treasure journeys like this one, how strangely apt it is that we can be taken farther away than any worldly coordinates might ever suggest, places and people making a frame to show us another world in this one, the key our own heart's openness to the possibility, what a view, what a view! And then to return to find even the mundane quickened or deepened....

interesting to follow the trails of your trail into the forest. i loved the blue lathe in the workshop. i could almost hear the song of its perished pulleys. and howard hall, breathing life into an old manor as mine crumbles around me. perhaps one day i'll take inspiration. L v
