Hi Sally, since I've now moved with my partner to Northern Tassie, can you tell me if there are any writing groups/communities that I might be able to join?

Hey, Tooticky! I'm sure there ARE some, though I no longer belong to any. There's the Fellowship of Writers (I think they may be based in Burnie) and the Tasmanian Women's Writers group. You're also most welcome to come and have a cup of tea (or a walk, or a stroll, or whatever suits you) with me. I love to talk writing, but I'm not very good at getting along to meetings. Oh, and there's the Invisible College, based down south. They meet once a month, and one day... one day... I'll get to a meeting.

I'm not sure that I'll be able to be a regular meeting-goer myself, but I learned in Melbourne that one of the best ways to motivate and inspire myself was to talk to other writers and 'be in a writing environment'.

Livelihood in the Town has it's compensation however comparable with all things, there is evidently a downside as well! Dwelling in the core of the act is imperative, whilst you have got to be in the ring. My boss, Tony, regularly mentions this. Yet, for my acquaintances Clarence, Bertha along with Zachariah, the Metropolis is the solitary location to survive. For me this urban life is impressive! I need not stop at the clubs.
