I sit before you with the daunting task of trying to make sense of life. Now, I fully understand that we have all undertaken this task at one point or another with varying results. I also understand that it probably will not lead to an epiphany of universal truths. At the moment, my mind is like an M.C. Escher sketch with a whole lot of stairs

For every point in time, every moment for a decision, there are billions of possible outcomes. All can be made into something good, all can be taken as something negative. What you need to decide is whether or not you want to stay where you are. It doesn't sound like you are happy. Do you want this to continue? Only you can decide when it's time for a change and what that change should be. The most important advice I can give you is this: the only thing we're given in this life is time. Spend yours wisely for there are no 'do-overs
