I think the best comment I got on the first book was Chance telling me she cried during chapter eight. My main goal as a writer is to get her to cry again. Because I am mean.
Things (for my protag) are about as bad as they're going to get right now. He's lost everything he ever wanted and has just realized that it's his own fault.
Because I am mean. Being sick just makes me meaner.
Doesn't Chris play WoW? And if not, how does he avoid getting his girlfriend's addictions? I thought those things were way more communicable than any piddling disease.
I'm workin gon revising chapter one (still! still! and again!) for the !(*$#)*&ing financial aid app, due today at 4.
BTW, when you're feeling better, I was thinking of setting up writer days where people from our writing group could go write together at a cafe... social + work!... does that appeal?

You bet it does. I'm a little constrained by kid responsibilities, but evenings are good, and once John's crazy time is over (he's over committed through mid-February), weekends will be good, too.
I think Chris would be interested, too. (My efforts to make him read journals have not come to fruition.) And there's a Lulu's this weekend - 1-4pm PDT on Sunday. Any overlap with you folks would be great.
Flu shots=the flu! My grandmother made my dad get them every year as a kid, and every year he got the flu. Naturally, when he became a parent, he NEVER made us get flu shots...and we NEVER got the flu *knocks on wooden desk*.

With Goblin Quest, one of my goals was to make readers cry for a spider. Don't know if I pulled it off or not, but it was fun to try :-)

I made a new World of Warcraft character last night and named her Embre. I'm trying to convince someone else to make Sparks. :)

Of course, "Sparks" is probably taken, so he'll have to go with "Sparkz," "Spaarks," or "Spharhkz" probably. I totally lucked out with "Embre"!

Sure seems that way! I don't know why I bothered. The shot was free, at least, at work.
