Jeez, I haven't written a word all week, since virtual Lulu's. Been sick, that's part of it. At the mo', I have an earache and can't hear much. An earache! Good grief

Sorry I've been so bad about emailing this week. Things have been more hectic than usual, and I hate to jot off quick notes when I'd rather dive into something longer.
How you will approach your recital is almost exactly how I approach doing a martial art form in front of people -- only they rarely say affirming things afterward. It's more like "Don't drop your elbow on that strike," "Remember to breathe," and "Don't stick your butt out." If someone tells you not to stick your butt out at a piano recital, I bet you could smack 'em.
I keep forgetting to send out the Lulu's email for this weekend, but we'll definitely be doing Lulu's here in California. Sorry I'm stealing one of your members... but not really. :)
Oh, no worries about the emails! I've been SpammaP'ing you. Nothing in any of them is urgent.
Remember to breathe would actually be very good advice. I will think of it as I sit down on the piano bench and put my fingers on the keys: Remember To Breathe.
Yay virtual Lulu's! It's so freaking cold (yadda, yadda) that I'm not sure the other locals will want to schlep over to HofA to meet for real. We'll see!
Break a leg at your performance tomorrow! At my pretest last week one of the panel comments was "calm down." So tonight at the test I breathed more and took my time, and things went better.

"Calm down" is very, very good advice. This, too, I will tell myself when I sit down at the piano today.
