Usually Jenn and her writing group get together at a hip L.A. cafe called Lulu's Beehive, where they work on screenplays and other writing gigs, and drink coffee. The less hip version is at the House of Aromas here in ( Read more... )

Hiya! It's not even that complicated. The chat happens here in the comment trail. And you're welcome anytime you have time--usually it'll be at Jenn's blog, not here, though.

The chat of the moment: velourmane has arrived and we're trying to figure out what the Sword & Sorceress anthology wants, plus explicating their rejection letter.

MZB type stories -- "a likeable character achieves a wirthy goal through her own efforts". They booted my story -- apparently, slowly poisoning the brother of one's lord is not heroic enough. Harumph!

My goal is to complete at least one arc of Fathers of Song. Failing that, to get the Eurydike chapeter up to fighting weight, by which I mean a filesize of at least 20kb.

Hi all!

I'm doing layout on my comic book. Today's goal: Completing the final version of the layout on the book.

Okay, off to put stems onto dialogue balloons! Good writing, everyone!

I typed in 300 pages of handwritten corrections to my latest novel, and just now shot the final version off to my agent and editor! It only took, um, all day. Now, beer!

Go you! Does that clear Poison Sleep off your desk for a while? On to the next book?

Yay beer! That's where I'm headed, in a couple of minutes.

Yep! I'm done, until and unless my editor wants more changes. (She only had line edits to the first book in the series, so I'm hoping lightning will strike twice, and she'll love this one as written, too!)

As for the next book, well, next up is revising The Light of a Better World, the novel I took to Blue Heaven last year. I'll start a new novel in May, probably.

Enjoy your beer!
