Why is it that everyone always makes fun of Canadians? Its like the last refuge of joke-making humor, because all other jokes are politically incorrect - but not Canadian jokes. I've heard quite a few in TV shows, movies, with friends and coworkers - it just doesn't make sense to me. Those poor, sad Canadians, always being made fun of.....

you obviously haven't spoken to many of them. They are almost as annoying as people from Oklahoma with their false patriotism. I mean, there isn't anything at all in Oklahoma, is there. At least Canada has Niagra Falls.... and Nunavet... and... I can't really think of anything else, eh.

and it has Saxe... Oh! Speaking of.....

It seems to me that making fun of Canadians equivalent to laughing at a rich man for his fancy car, ie, fueled by envy. Yes, the poor, hapless Canadians, with all of the world's water, but none of the animosity. ;)

Has anyone else noticed how Canadians keep bringing up 'water' as their big natural resource? Is that big news where you come from? Do you think the rest of the world gives a care? Surely, there is another export that you can grasp on to... like actresses who do bad things on boats or anoying singers?

:)

(by-the-way...having nothing at all to do with this post, I am super excited)

Oh. Canada. anonymous January 21 2007, 18:19:56 UTC
Good to see that English teachers are still embroiled in petty conflicts regarding each other's nationalities. And why aren't there more American jokes? Oh, never mind.
