well that is a very sane way to look at things. You will probably get there just as fast as the people standing on their horns and buging everyone else. Also you will be in a shape to do something when you get where you are going. Not like the frothing at the mouth people that have used all their energy to scream yell and be jerks in traffic, that is life traffic as well as commute traffic.
I have to say that I had sort of developed that attitude, and I had also adopted ways in to work that weren't necessarily on highway...they took 'longer' (aka about the same time once traffic was accounted for) but did marvels for my blood pressure.
Ultimately, though, once I moved to be closer to work and dropped my commute time by 1/2-2/3 I was just in a better mood in general. It really did make a huge difference.

I've definitely become more stable. Here's hoping I make it to sixth months of stability.
