I've had it with generic advice and this job hunt. I know people mean well, but honestly, if I hear any bullshit about "have a positive attitude" and "don't be disappointed if you don't get your dream job" I'm going to scream

don't worry, that wasn't at all directed at you. pretty much anyone reading my LJ knows me well enough to not do those things anyway.

wishing me good luck is not something that pisses me off. I have some specific people in mind but I just didn't say so when I was writing this.
