This has been a rock 'n roll weekend, beginning with Nobody's Favorite at Kraftbrau. They rocked the stage with their dirty, bluesy sneer. Then, Kalamazoo invaded a little piece of Muskegon heritage as Hell or Highwater and Salmon and Beastman joined forces ala the Ice Pick. I have a list as long as my arm of movies I would like to see. If you recommend it, though, I will check it out the next chance I get.

As far as sketches, Jeff is a pretty whimsical guy. He threw those ideas out on the spur of the moment, but that's how he works: He makes a quick decision, for better or for worse, and then he sticks to it with the stubborness of a mule.

The fish/cat comes from the name of the band... Jeff named the band after his fish (named Beastman) and a cat (that he never actually got, but always wanted to, just to name Salmon.) The name, too, is another of Jeff's instantaneous decisions, and was originally heavily opposed. We drew a terrible flier a while back that featured a fish spaceship with a house cat's head, using tractor beams to suck people into it. I think that is where he got that idea.

I don't know what he meant by rockets, but I think he just had a space theme in mind. I'll ask them for more details if you want, but I bet they'll be satisfied with whatever your creative vision conjures.

Hey, sounds great:) I hope you enjoy the mix CD, though I will understand if some of it isn't your flavor. Also, a tip on the CD's (a little something everyone has been having a problem with): Be careful, because both sides look exactly the same, so it is very easy to put it in upside-down. What I do is I look very closely at the CD and look for the magnetic line that indicates where the burner ingrained data into the disc. Perhaps this will help:)
