Music is something people feel in relation to their own perception of the world at the time. I strongly feel that to some Fall Out Boy, NickelBack, and Trapt are excellent bands because they aren't "artisticly inclined" enough to think more abstractly about music. Their maturity correlates with the music that is presented before them. But that does not mean that the music that one listens to is representative of themselves in absolution. I gotta admit, I like some Fall Out Boy. It has pop sensibility. Can't say the same for Trapt or Nickelback though. But again, to some they are sweet and it's an opinion that I feel we have to respect because it's music and it is therepeutic to them just like my world groovespace is to me and just like whatever music you happen to listen to is for you. I guess I can go back to the old 90's proverb "Don't hate the player, hate the game". Those bands are jamming out music that they like but industry pushes them through into the mainstream and produces the living hell out of them
