I was driving my car to work today like I was driving in Beijing. I actually didn't drive in Beijing. In fact, you may not rent a car in China unless you have a Chinese driver--which makes total sense once you get on any street anywhere in China.   Things are freaky as it is--don't need to add in American/European/Western drivers into the mix that ( Read more... )

Haha! I assume China roads are like India or Egypt. Crazy stuff.

I wrote about it a lot in my travel journal because the traffic blew my mind. If driving in India or Egypt equals "rules of the road" being just mild suggestions (at their most potent), then Yep--similar ( ... )

"rules of the road are merely suggestions" is probably an exact quote of mine from my egypt travelog.

In Egypt they also drive with one hand on the horn....and at night, they don't leave their lights on...they turn them on and off. I think they are trying to save bulb life!

Not sure if I did any mountain roads like that. I think I'd remember!

I slept through my longest road trip in India.

Though my car had its windshield shot at on India too. Driver said it was bandits. Scared the crap out of me!
