Doctor Wut?

Brent bought me a membership to the Y yesterday. They have awesome fitness rooms, fun fitness programs (free to members), and two pools. Since it's on the way home from work, I don't have an excuse NOT to go. Honestly, the times I have asked my doctors about a new exercise program, all they have said is "Great idea, go for it!". The commercials, etc. just have to say that for liability reasons, I am sure. It could make a difference if you had a chronic health condition (i.e. heart disease) that could be affected by too much sudden physical stress. I think as long as you take it easy and build up your activity slowly, you'll be fine. If it hurts, then go easier on yourself, that sort of thing ( ... )

Thanks for the advice! I've been swimming since it's a lot easier on my joints. This is the first time my knees have ever given me issues. It's weird. Anyway, I figured I'd start on the treadmill and Zumba and such once I drop 30-40 pounds and my knees aren't bearing so much weight.
