ocm and tdkr

I've been trying the oil cleansing method on my face for the past week and I really really like it.

I ordinarily have very annoying, ugly, difficult skin. Break outs, blackheads, oily patches, flaky areas, acne scars, and just generally thick, inflamed skin...all happening on a pretty normal-sized face.

Then last weekend my cousin mentioned OCM so I looked it up online, got an idea about what it was and thought,
'How could my face get any worse?" So I went to the health-food store and bought grapeseed oil and cold-pressed castor oil (cost about US$8).

I mix about 1 tsp. of the grapeseed and 2 or 3 drops of the castor oil and rub it into my face for about 3-5 min. Then I get a hot washcloth, lay it over my oily face until the steam is gone, then wipe all the oil off with the damp cloth. It leaves my face feeling very clean and soft.  I've only been doing OCM at night and Noxzema in the morning ('cause I'm lazy). I also usually do a scrub and an aspirin mask twice a week.

I haven't seen any miraculous results like some people, but the first thing that I did see was the blackheads on my nose were almost gone (and the ones that were left came out very easily). That alone was worth it. But also, I'm not as oily, the inflammation is practically gone, and the overall texture of my skin is so much better. I've been barely using any makeup for the last 3 days. Oddly, the only thing that hasn't gotten better is the flaky, dry patches. Apparently, I might be using too much castor oil.

But in general, so far, so good.  I'm going to try to stick with it at least until the oils I bought are used up.

And then on Sunday I finally saw the The Dark Knight Rises!!! (aka: The Bane Movie.)  I want to see it over and over and over again.  I think I might go see it in IMAX this weekend. I've totally got Bane on the brain. Tom Hardy is so amazing.  And the rest of the movie is very good, too.  I don't want to say anything more in case someone hasn't seen it yet.

tom hardy, like/don't like
